We are in a period of growth and in search of a Consultant – Revenue Requirements based at our headquarters in Maryland with the potential to work remotely. This position entails supervising and coordinating projects performed by a group within the Revenue Requirements Department. S/He will also be responsible for maintaining direct contact with the clients under their control to ensure their consulting needs are met, and they are satisfied with the services provided.
Responsibilities:
- Potential to supervise staff at levels below this title.
- Coordinates the work of their Revenue Requirements group.
- Responsible for the completion of all assigned studies. These studies would include but are not limited to cost separations studies and other special studies as required.
- Responsible for assisting in the completion of all state and interstate tariff filings as needed, subject to the review of Managers and Staff Directors.
- Maintains a current listing of all jobs in progress and knows the status of each of those jobs for the group(s) under their management. Makes decisions on personnel working on the job and adjusts the work schedule to accommodate the client’s needs.
- Basic knowledge of industry issues that will affect JSI clients.
- Assists in maintaining all spreadsheet programs used to develop the work completed by the department.
- Participates and develops internal training sessions for the Revenue Requirements group to maintain skills at a required level and introduce new subjects as needed.
- Responsible for answering questions and providing responses to outside parties involved with review of Separations studies and projects. Individual will foster a good relationship with external parties to help ensure that the client’s best interests are served.
- Maintains contact with all clients under the responsibility. Participates in trips to visit clients regularly. Must be able to participate in discussions about separations and other issues with client personnel as the need arises. Has a thorough knowledge of JSI provided services and can recommend needed services to the client.
- Represents the company in a mature, highly professional manner to help perpetuate and improve JSI’s image and reputation in the industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics, advanced degree, or certification desirable.
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and solid computer abilities.
- Highly organized and attentive to details.
- Familiar with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
- Must be willing to travel as needed.
