Lifeline Representative Database Becomes Mandatory May 25

JSI reminds clients that all eligible telecommunications carriers (ETCs) providing Lifeline must register and validate their representatives in the new Representative Accountability Database (RAD) by May 25, 2020. The mandatory implementation deadline is now less than two weeks away after being delayed back in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Once the RAD becomes mandatory, representatives must have a RAD ID linked by their service provider to the National Lifeline Accountability Database (NLAD) and the National Verifier in order to perform Lifeline subscriber transactions such as eligibility checks and enrollments (see JSI’s Jan. 22 e-Lert for details on the RAD). Representatives can register on USAC’s website at https://www.usac.org/lifeline/additional-requirements/rad/ for a RAD ID.

USAC will be conducting a RAD overview webinar on Wednesday, which may provide answers to some of your questions. You can register for the USAC webinar here.
