Nationwide RFP Seeks Vendors for E-Rate and HCF Projects

MiCTA, a national association of non-profit, non-commercial, and public sector entities, issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) this week seeking potential vendors that can provide fiber build-out services under a Master Service Agreement to MiCTA members who are eligible for E-Rate and Healthcare Connect Fund (HCF) support. MiCTA indicates that it is not seeking one vendor who can provide all of the services nationwide; rather, a vendor may bid on only the sections for which it can provide service.

JSI recommends that clients review the list of member schools, libraries, and health care providers. If you identify any existing customers or entities within your service territory, you may wish to consider submitting an Intent to Respond Form and/or response to the RFP.

MiCTA requests parties who are considering responding to the RFP submit an Intent to Respond Form to MiCTA by Friday, October 17, no later than 4:30 p.m. EDT. Although a vendor may still bid on the RFP without submitting the Intent to Respond Form, MiCTA will only send updated information to those vendors that do complete it.

Vendors interested in bidding have until 4:30 p.m. EST on November 14 to submit any questions they may have related to the RFP. Final bids are due to MiCTA by Friday, November 21.

If your company would like more information about the RFP, or assistance completing an Intent to Respond Form, please contact JSI’s E-rate expert, Dee Dee Longenecker (dlongenecker@jsitel.com) at 512-338-0473; or Tanea Foglia (tfoglia@jsitel.com), JSI’s Healthcare Connect Fund expert, at 301-459-7590.
