Review upcoming Lifeline changes that will affect your company’s procedures
We’ve been through many changes in the federal Lifeline program already and more are on the way that you need to prepare for now. The National Lifeline Eligibility Verifier begins this December with a soft launch in the first six states (Colorado, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming) with at least 20 more states rolling out in 2018. In addition, minimum service standards will increase and several of the Lifeline filing forms and processes are being updated. These changes to the Lifeline program will impact all companies.
JSI’s Lifeline team has dissected the National Verifier implementation and dug into the reforms impacting the Lifeline program and recently held a webinar which covered:
- What to expect from the new National Lifeline Eligibility Verifier system;
- Increased minimum service standards and their impact on your company;
- Changes to the Form 497 reimbursement process and Form 555 recertification results; and
- Ways to protect your company if faced with the increased scrutiny of a USAC Lifeline audit.
As the old saying goes, “He who fails to plan is planning to fail.” Don’t fail to plan for these upcoming Lifeline changes, for you could be risking failure down the road.
