Even though the FCC’s new Open Internet rules are being called Title II “Light,” there are changes afoot for all internet service providers (ISPs), particularly those operated by cable or wireless companies. JSI’s webinar provided an overview of the Title II rules which ISPs need to be aware of, including:

  • network transparency notices,
  • measures to protect customer information,
  • accessibility requirements for those with disabilities, and
  • pending lawsuits that seek to stop the rules’ implementation.

It also addressed how the Open Internet rules may affect universal service contributions and the fees companies may be required to charge in the future.

A recording of the webinar is available for $249 (clients who subscribe to JSI’s Video Compliance Service will receive a $70 discount on this webinar recording). If you are interested in purchasing a copy of the recording, please contact Brenda Cordwell in JSI’s Maryland office at 301-459-7590.
