Get to know Todd
Todd Poston, P.E., brings decades of telecommunications, technology, and business leadership experience to his role as Vice President, Project Management Office at JSI. Throughout his career, Todd has helped organizations introduce new technologies, manage complex initiatives, and bring greater structure and clarity to the way projects are planned and delivered.
At JSI, Todd leads the Project Management Office with a focus on helping teams and clients stay aligned from planning through execution. His approach combines disciplined project management with a strong understanding of technology, people, and business priorities, helping create greater visibility, manage risk, and keep complex broadband initiatives moving forward.
Successful project management is about creating clarity around what needs to happen, who needs to be involved, and what comes next. When everyone has the right information and a shared understanding of the goal, even complex projects become much easier to move forward.
Professional Experience and Accomplishments
Todd has built his career at the intersection of telecommunications, technology, consulting, and service delivery. Before joining JSI, he held leadership roles spanning product management, systems integration, consulting, service management, and presales, with experience across telecom cloud, metro transport, wireline access, edge computing, and network virtualization.
At Ciena, Todd led the company’s Systems Integration Product Services practice, where he helped develop and deliver multivendor technology solutions for virtualized edge and 5G environments. His work throughout his career has centered on translating complex technologies and business requirements into clear plans, defined processes, and solutions that can be successfully implemented.
Todd also brings a strong commitment to innovation and professional development. He has served as an industry mentor through the National Science Foundation’s I-Corps program. He holds two patents related to optical telecommunications systems.
Todd earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer.
