FCC Opens the Application Window for the Cybersecurity Pilot Program
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) recently created a Cybersecurity Pilot Program to provide up to $200 million in funding to schools and libraries. On September 17, 2024, the FCC announced the opening of the 45-day application window for this program which will run until November 1, 2024. This funding can be used to purchase a wide range of cybersecurity services and equipment including:
- Next-generation firewalls
- Vulnerability scans
- Endpoint protection
- 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) monitoring
- Distributed-Denial-of-Service (DDoS) protection
As a service provider of qualifying schools and libraries, your company can help these participants implement eligible equipment and services, and even submit invoices on their behalf.
