Now that the FCC has finalized the procedures for the upcoming Connect America Fund (CAF) Phase II reverse auction, companies interested in competing in the auction should begin preparing in earnest. The short-form application window will open March 19 and close March 30, with the auction scheduled to begin on July 24.
To help clients prepare, JSI recently held the second webinar in its CAF Phase II auction series. This webinar was designed to help you and your company prepare for the “blast off” of the CAF Phase II auction on July 24. We reviewed the application procedures, including what will be required in the short-form application to participate in the auction, relevant deadlines, and decisions made in an accompanying Reconsideration Order. We also discussed the final list of eligible areas and tools clients can use to help assess whether or not to participate in the auction.
