International Section 214 Telecommunications Service Providers Must Complete FCC Filing by January 22, 2024

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released a Public Notice setting a deadline of Monday, January 22, 2024, for all entities holding International Section 214 authority (Authorization Holders) to complete a one-time information collection filing. This requirement applies to any company providing international telecommunications services that either originate from or terminate in the United States. This information collection aims to update the FCC’s records regarding Authorization Holders’ foreign ownership. Authorization Holders who do not have reportable foreign ownership must still complete the filing.

If companies are uncertain if they hold Section 214 authorizations, they can check the International Bureau’s website. Those companies who hold Section 214 authorizations are required to complete this information data collection through the designated website.

If you have any questions about this filing, please contact Kim Waldvogel.
